Paradise Lodge is named for the green, pristine heaven on earth the lodge is situated in. The integrity of the local ecosystem is a high priority at Paradise Lodge. The land now occupied by the lodge had previously been deforested but is now a lush, green paradise. Species planted were selected for being local to the region and therefore in little need of irrigation or other care. Terracing was also carried out on the grounds to hold water and dramatically reduce runoff. Paradise Lodge security staff work with National Park authorities to protect the forest from threats.
