Ethiopia North

Considered the cradle of humankind, Ethiopia is also the oldest independent country in Africa. Is is without any doubt one of the world's most captivating countries offering a multiplicity of things to do: very ancient history and traditions, astonishing landscapes, endemic mammals and birds.

Day 1

Addis Ababa

On your arrival in Addis Ababa, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Lalibela

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lalibela which is home to the 12th century hand carved rock churches of King
Lalibela (1181 - 1221) whom the town is named after. After lunch in your hotel, visit the first group churches of Lalibela (UNESCO
World Heritage Site) which are found northeast of a stream named ‘River Jordan’.

Day 3

Lalibela

In the morning, ride a mule to the hill top semi monolithic church of Asheten Mariam (13th Century AD). The peak of the hill offers a wonderful viewpoint to have bird eye view of the surrounding area including the town of Lalibela. In the afternoon, visit the second and the third group of churches of Lalibela.

Day 4

Fly to Addis Ababa

Fly back to Addis and in the afternoon have a sightseeing tour of Addis that includes visiting the National Museum and Mount Entoto for the panoramic view of the city. In the evening, you will have farewell dinner at one of the best traditional restaurants of Addis to see the folkloric dances of the Ethiopian people and to taste the variety of meals of the Ethiopian people.

Day 5

Addis Ababa

Today, after breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.
